What’s an Accredited Buyer’s Representative?
The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC), an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.
There is a difference between buyer’s agents and seller’s agents. As the name implies, a buyer’s agent represents the buyer in a real estate transaction. An ABR buyer’s agent has the expertise and experience to make sure that the buyer gets all the information and protection needed to make an informed decision and negotiate a fair deal.
